I talked to Aunt Mary yesterday and she mentioned the steamed pudding too. She said she liked the lemon sauce that Mom poured over it. That was the best part of it. I was reading a little about English Christmas puddings and they said that they used lots of dried fruit in them because sugar was very scarce and the fruit added sweetness. I know Mom used lots of raisons in hers, But I don't remember what else: maybe candied fruits I think. Should have paid more attention. I don't think she put whiskey in it, but I'm not sure.
